Traveling across Europe with your van requires sometimes fuel. And in these days we are all sensible regarding fuel prices. By now, we made 600 km on the road today and here is a snapshot of the fuel prices across Switzerland and France.
We started in central Switzerland with gasoline price at 2.01 CHF per liter. Between Bern and Lausanne we suddenly saw the prices dropping down to 1.83 CHF per liter – still gasoline and still Switzerland. Crossing Geneva we were back above 2 CHF, actually at 2.05 CHF per liter. When we crossed the border to France we thought that prices would drop, but they are at the same level than in Geneva – 2.02 EUR per liter (EUR and CHF are 1:1). While driving down towards Marseille we suddenly saw a gas station with 1.78 EUR per liter. We made a stop to fuel.
And just that you know\u2026in France you stop at the gas station, you go into the shop to the cashier, he takes a security on your credit card, then you can go to your car to fuel and then you can go back into the shop to get the right amount charges to your card. Obviously customer service isn\u2019t the focus, but securing the money (but maybe they get really hit frequently)\u2026looking forward to see the prices develop in Spain – as we are in Europe\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
